Gas House Pike Bridge Project

February 7th, 2018 No Comments

A message from the Frederick County Division of Public Works:

The Frederick County Office of Transportation Engineering would like to notify the LLA and its residents of an upcoming road closure for the Gas House Pike Bridge project. Utility relocation work (to be done by Washington Gas) will require Gas House Pike near Structure No. F09-21 over Linganore Creek (bridge west of Sanandrew Drive) to be closed for up to two months. The road closure at the bridge will begin on or about March 1, 2018, and we anticipate the utility company to have its work completed around early May. The gas line relocation work will require directional drilling and installation of several hundred feet of new gas line. Any unforeseen circumstances or conditions may require the road closure to be extended.

A signed detour route will be in effect utilizing McKaig Road, Old Annapolis Road, Green Valley Road (MD 75), Drummine Road, Central Church Road, and Gas House Pike. The County’s official press release for this road closure is anticipated to be sent out to the public the week of February 5th.
We appreciate the LLA residents’ patience and cooperation with the Gas House Pike road closure as Washington Gas completes its relocation work.

Any questions regarding the project, please contact Jennifer Bohager, Project Manager, at 301-600-3505, or
