The Meadows Village Committee

Meeting Minutes

August 8th 2006

Lake Merle Picnic Area

Village Committee members present were: Melissa Desmond, Dick Fisher, Jerry Dorsey.

The meeting opened with introduction of the members and the mission for the Meadows Village Committee.  The mission of the committee is to compile a list of the residents’ top ten concerns.  The committee will rate the top concerns and work on two concerns through completion of each project.

A third concern may be started if a resident feels strong enough about that issue.  The third concern will have a separate committee but will go through the village committee with all request and actions until completion.  A moderate time frame of completion will, hopefully, be maintained with all concerns.  The list will continue to grow to help enhance the village.

The concerns are:

• Landscaping

• **Pet Waste and pet control

• **Fund Raising

•Farmview Court

• Dying Tree Limbs

• Trash at mailbox area

• Litter along Eaglehead Road

• Appearance of mailbox area

 • Pedestrian walkway to mailbox area

• Vandalism

• Keeping lights on for children walking to bus stop

• Speeding

• Signs needed for “Children at Play” Locations

• Trails and Completion of Trails Locations – Stirrup Court, Foxchase Circle

• Too many cars at one residence

• Water pressure

NOTE: Some topics will be forwarded to the LLA office for corrections and or completion.

Completing this form and sending it directly to the LLA office is to your advantage.

**Entrance to Meadows/Balmoral Village:

During our meeting on August 8th the residents present agreed to the following: The LLA office is completing work to have all LLA village signs lighted and new plants.  The work for the entrance to our village has been put in the LLA budget for the relocation to the left side of the entrance upon entering; the existing sign will be used and relocated in front of the existing hedge along with electric lighting and new plantings. This will enhance the entrance and help visitors locate our village.
