Vacant Lot Referendum – 2nd Meeting 9/19

The Membership held a special meeting and voted on the Vacant Lot Assessment Referendum on August 15th, 2015 at which the required 60% quorum was not achieved. View the Presentation from the August 15th Meeting.

A second meeting for the Vacant Lot Referendum Vote will be held on Saturday, September 19th, 2015 per the Covenants:

Under the Lake Linganore Covenants Article V, number 7 – Quorum required for this action is as follows: At a first meeting called, as provided in Sections 4 and 5 hereof, the presence at the meeting of members, or of proxies, entitled to cast sixty (60) percent of all the votes shall constitute a quorum. If the required quorum is not forthcoming at any meeting, another meeting may be called, subject to the notice requirement set forth in Section 4 and 5, and the required quorum at any such subsequent meeting shall be one-half of the required quorum at the preceding meeting, provided that no such subsequent meeting shall be held more than sixty (60) days following the preceding meeting.

TO VOTE BY MAIL:

Fill out the Proxy (Ballot) coming in the mail soon and return in the enclosed envelope before September 15th, 2015.

TO VOTE IN PERSON:

Come to the LLA EVENT TENT on Saturday September 19th and vote in person 9:00am-9:30am.

If you have previously voted or mailed in your proxy on this matter, no further action is required. We hope you will attend the meeting on September 19th, 2015 as we consider this important matter. There will also be a town hall meeting and presentation by Maryland Environmental Services on Dredging the Lake beginning at 10:00am.
