Snow Emergency Routes are in Effect

Please note the following directive to facilitate the snow removal process. The following Snow Emergency Directive is in effect from 9am tomorrow (Friday, 1/22) until 9am on Monday, January 25th.

Please see designated snow emergency routes.

Park in Your Driveway – If at all possible, we strongly suggest that residents park in their driveways. Parking in your driveway will ensure that your vehicle is safe from towing and not blocking snow plows from clearing your street.

Parking in Common Areas – If you find that you are unable to get to your home or you cannot park safely in your driveway, please park in common parking areas:

– Pool Parking Lots (Coldstream, Summerfield, West Winds)
– Trail Heads
– Parks (with parking available off the road)
– Bus Stops (with parking available off the road)
– Brosius Dam
– Coldstream and Nightingale Beach

*Plow trucks will be advised to use their judgment when plowing around parked vehicles, however the best way to avoid any issue, is to park in your driveway.

*If you find that your vehicle has been towed, please call Derek’s Towing at: (240) 457-7774

Why We Need to Take This Aggressive Approach

LLA’s topography presents many challenges during a snowstorm, so we ask that residents comply with the above directive in order to facilitate successful snow removal. Additionally, complying with the above directive will also keep roadways clear for Emergency Vehicles in the event of a fire/police/medical emergency in the community.
