Severe Weather: Hurricane Sandy – Update

The LLA Office is officially closed as of 2pm, today (Monday, October 29). The office will also be closed tomorrow (Tuesday, October 30). Pending any unforeseen conditions, the LLA Office will reopen at 9am on Wednesday (October 31).

While the Office Operations are shutting down, the LLA Staff and Board have established an Emergency Response Plan. Key personnel will be working to address EMERGENCIES as Hurricane Sandy moves into our area.

There is a high probability that communications, (power/internet) both on site and off site will be down this week, perhaps for extended periods of time. Please be patient as we work to re-establish regular operations.

Please expect that waste will not be picked up on Tuesday/Wednesday. The LLA will attempt to notify residents if conditions improve (and communication is available).

PLEASE CLEAR YOUR CULVERTS TO ALLOW FOR PROPER DRAINAGE. THIS IS CRITICAL TO PREVENTING ANY UNNECESSARY FLOODING.

We strongly encourage residents to contact the appropriate agencies/authorities with service requests:

Emergency: 911

Non-Emergency County Line (Police/Fire/EMT): 301-600-1603

Potomac Edison: 800-686-0011

Highway Operations: 301-600-1564 (cover county road issues)

Verizon: 800-837-4966

Comcast: 800-266-2278

Miss Utility: 800-257-7777

Fred.Co. Red Cross: 301-662-5131

*Always contact emergency responders FIRST.

*The LLA 24-hour emergency answering service is: 301-293-3802
