FOL was created by the LLA Board to promote awareness of the lake environment.  Eaglehead residents are fortunate to live amid the natural beauty of the community but that can be lost if we don't address problems that linger from the past and try to avoid future ones.  FOL is always looking for volunteers to join the several active folks who are having fun learning about our watershed and how to protect it.  FOL meets every 3rd Thursday of the month at 7 pm in the LLA office.  For more information, contact FOL chairperson Bill Strang at (301) 865-3571

Our Vision

The Friends of the Lake Committee is very optimistic about the future of the lakes, their immediate environments, and the quality of their water.  Within the next three to five years, residents will be able to enjoy a lake that has experienced a reduction in siltation and an improvement in the quality of the water as measured through standard methods and instruments.  These improvements will be in line with the strategic goals and objectives for water quality improvement, reforestation, shoreline buffers, native plants gardens, and other programs successfully carried out by FOL and others participating in its initiatives.
