WestWinds ECC Guideline for Deck Submittal

Supersedes all previous WW ECC Deck Submittal Guidelines

Reference Article VI, Architectural Standards, Section 1 of the WestWinds Covenants: “The WestWinds Environmental Control Committee (ECC) shall have exclusive jurisdiction over all construction (including original construction and any and all modifications, alterations and/or additions thereto) and landscaping on any portion of the Properties”

Procedure for Submission:

An application package is to be received by the ECC no later than the last Friday of the month preceding the month in which the ECC meets (ECC meets the first Wednesday of each month to review applications).

Request to include:

1. WestWinds ECC Application Form (found in the WW Community Directory or may be accessed via the LLA web site at www.lakelinganore.org. and clicking on WestWinds/WW ECC Information and Application Form).

2. Site plan showing location and dimensions of deck, and distance from property boundaries.

3. Drawing (or photograph) illustrating final appearance of deck (show pickets/baluster, railings steps, etc.).

4. Drawing illustrating elevations (show all sides and indicate height from ground level).

5. Materials list such as pressure treated lumber, composite, aluminum or vinyl. State whether wood will be natural or stained. Provide color samples of materials to be used.

6. Landscape Plan for decks at ground level if landscaping is part of the project. Provide names of shrubbery/trees and include final height/width growth of each.

7. Application fee of $20 (make check payable to WestWinds Village, Inc.)
